Marco Piazzai
He began studying the trombone at the age of 10 at the music school of the "Filarmonica V. Bellini" band in Scandicci
He graduated in Trombone with full marks at the L.Cherubini Conservatory in Florence under the guidance of Maestro Walter Carpano, where he also obtained the Diploma of Music High School.
He began his professional career at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino at the age of 15.
He has played with many orchestras in Italy and abroad.
He won the competition and taught in Conservatories of Music in Italy where he currently teaches specialist masterclasses.
He is the winner of numerous competitions and auditions in military orchestras and bands and has recorded and played with many chamber ensembles.
He is the author of the “Sliding Up” method ed. Mulph, dedicated to the Trombone technique.
Currently, since 1991, he has been playing at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome as Principal Trombone.
