Jean-Pierre Canihac in 1976 he founded the early music ensemble of Toulouse Les Sacqueboutiers. He plays the cornet à bouquin as a soloist, within the Sacqueboutiers and instrumental ensembles specialized in the interpretation of ancient music. His deep knowledge of this literature and the refinement of his interpretation make him a reference musician of early music.
