makes intonation difficult to maintain.

It's an unforgiving instrument.

And with a mute… even less so.

In this particular solo, you're above the entire orchestra.
Completely exposed.

Where everything can be heard.

Solo against the danger.

And if the mute creates intonation problems for you…
I'll tell you gently: you're going to sweat.

My piccolo mute proposal is designed and tuned for this type of situation.

You'll see that it protrudes a little further from the bell than other piccolo mutes.

It's no coincidence.

I'm looking for the right balance between sound and intonation.

So you can play without worrying about these two aspects.

The cork is a mixture of natural cork with recycled rubber.
