My Story as a Musician
A look at the future of the mouthpiece
Romera Brass didn't start in a machine shop.
It started by playing the trombone.

It was born out of my need as a musician. I was no genius. Every day I studied to do better.
And that's where it all began.
The frustration.
Of not understanding why a mouthpiece worked for me one day... and not the next.
Of trying models, brands, sizes... and having the same doubts you have now.
The feeling that something was escaping me.
That no one really explains what's happening.
And for a long time, I did what everyone else does: Experiment.
Another mouthpiece. Another model. Another recommendation. Another one selling you smoke.
And start all over again.
Let me be clear:
For a long time... I was also like a chicken with its head cut off.
Until I understood something that changed everything.
It wasn't by trying another mouthpiece. It wasn't by changing brands.
It was when I started to truly understand how a mouthpiece works.

And from that moment on, everything changed. I stopped looking for solutions in standard models. I stopped thinking "this mouthpiece works" or "this one doesn't."
I began to see the mouthpiece for what it really is:
A regulator between the musician and the instrument.
And that's where Romera Brass began.
With an old lathe. Making my own models. Experimenting. Making mistakes.
And understanding more and more what mouthpiece each musician needs according to their playing style.
Because after all this time, there's one thing I'm very clear about:
You don't need to try more mouthpieces.
You need to understand what your best mouthpiece is.
