34.Do you have the perfect rim size and shape for you?

Greetings MetalHeads
If you come to my workshop to have a custom mouthpiece made, the first thing I will ask you is whether the measurements and shape of the rim are clear to you. If not, that's the first thing we'll need to work on, and only when the rim is correct in terms of measurements and shape can we start working on the rest of the mouthpiece.
Finding the right rim measurement and shape can take us several hours and perhaps lead to discarding several mouthpieces.
!!!!!!!!!!Without further ado, let's begin!!!!!!!!!!!!
For me, it's the most complicated part to work on because it's a matter of sensations that only the musician experiences.
You might tell me,
For example, "the rim feels too rounded and I want it a bit flatter," or "the measurements feel too small." But how much is "more rounded" or "flatter," or "bigger," or "smaller"? Is it flatter on the inside, on the outside? Is it a feeling? Are you sure it's the shape, or perhaps it's better to change the diameter?
Complicated, very complicated...
Since you'll be expressing sensations that I cannot see or hear, we can only work through trial and error.
So, if you're not clear about the rim, its measurements, or its shape, it's time to start looking for your best rim.
Once you have it, everything will be much easier.
In the next chapter of Romera Brass ACADEMY, we will continue discussing the rim, so don't miss it.
I'm Toni Romera, and I look forward to your questions and comments.
Greetings and much music.
